Southdowns may be a small club but we appreciate all our members.

Here are summaries of most of them!!!

The Officials!

CHAIRPERSON - Lynda Isaac (and Sassy) - Lynda started competing with Golden Retrievers but now trains Sassy, a WSD who she got from Battersea Dogs Home. She finds her a completely different challenge, being much faster, physically and mentally, than the Goldies (Unfortunately Lynda is neither physically or mentally fast)!Lynda has a lovely BC puppy - Pepsi.

Lynda has recently passed her Judging exam - well done Lynda!!

SECRETARY - Una Winfield (and Sam/Amy) Sam is a spritely 11 year old cocker spaniel who has just obtained a new little sister spaniel - Amy.

Amy has been progressing nicely in the foundation class and sill soon be a superstar!!

TREASURER - Angela Parry (and Milly) - Angela has just progressed into grade 3. Angela is the full time trainer of the second progressor class at club. 

COMMITTEE - Zoe West (and Blake/Raven) - Zoe has progressed into G2 this 2007 show season with Blake, her distinctive white GSD.

COMMITTEE - Cyril (and Rosie) - Cyril has probably been doing agility more years than he cares to remember but has never been on the committee before.

COMMITTEE - Debbie Mcilroy - Debbie is the proud owner of 4 GDS's, 3 of which are members of Southdowns. Harvey, a BIG black and tan boy who is approx 5 yrs old, who still thinks he's 4 months old!! Not forgetting Ziva, the real puppy, who attends the Progressor class. Debbie will be attending the foundation class with her newest addition.

COMMITTEE - Karen (and Rosco) - Karen and Rosco are a lovely pair. Rosco is a distinctive red and white collie.

Our Members

Emma Francis and Jake - Emma has been doing agility for about 3 years now and is totally addicted. She has 2 dogs, a terrier x and a WSD. She trains Jake at Southdowns, well really he trains her to run faster!! Jake won out of Grade 1 at the Weald show in 2007.

Emma is teaching the pre-agility foundation course from March this year.

Margaret Wright -  Margaret has been playing at agility for more years than she cares to remember starting off with a GSD and a Collie x.  This picture shows my dogs of the last 13 years – Bea (White) now retired mother of Tremor (Black and Tan) now semi-retired.  Not related are Kes (Black & White) still working and Kite (Tri prick ears) the baby who is competing in Grade 3. As well as being a trainer at Southdowns Margaret has also undertaken a few judging appointments over the years.

Amada and Storm - Amanda is currently in our progressors class at Southdowns; Storm is a natural (and very pretty to boot)!!! Amanda is back training now after having her lovely baby Katie.

Belinda and Flo - Flo is a beautiful border collie, also in the progressors class, Flo sometimes does the jumps, sometimes doesn't! Progressing really nicely all round and is an obedience superstar (so her mum tells us)! 

Trevor and Ty / Asti - Ty is a big bouncy white GSD, 10 years young! Weaves to die for! Ty is now mainy retired so Asti has taken over his place, she's coming on very well. Bless her!!

Maureen  and Casper - Margaret runs casper for Maureen at club. He also attends Petersfield DTC for regular obedience training with Maureen.

Sue and Hazel - Sue trains the starter class at Southdowns.

Paul and Scooby / Leah - Paul was only 6 when he got Scooby, a rescue JR X. Initially it was hard for Paul to get Scooby to listen to him but he persevered and they have won out of Starters. Now Paul has pestered his mum and has got a BC puppy, so there will be no stopping him now! UPDATE: Leah is competing this year ........

Chris and Pip - Chris is our most experienced competetive member. He either runs Fizz, Suki or Pip at Southdowns. Pip is A VERY enthusiastic,lovely medium sized dog. (Who qualified at least twice for Olympia this year). Now in Grade 6! Suki is the baby, now in Grade 4, and Fizz is in G6. Chris and Emma train the foundation class.

Heather and Jasper / Cody- Jasper is a lovely collie boy who has been training at Southdowns for over 1 year now. He has learnt very quickly - shame about his owner though!!!! This pair are doing well in the progressor class. Cody is in the foundation class, we are quickly realising just how clever this little BC is!

Jane and Storm - Attend the progressors class with Lynda, also train with Angela. Storm loves his agility and would do anything to try and please his mum.

Jess and Hally - Love the picture Jess! Hally is a lovely medium cocker spaniel, moving up in the classes to the second progressor group.

David and Molly - Also moving up to the second progressor class. Molly is a fantastic BC, would do anything for you and loves her agility. Run by David usually though his little sister is more than capable too!

Lisa and Maverick / Rosie - Mav is a lovely BC who has been in the starter class for a year and is moving up to progressors. Rosie is a beautiful red and white BC who is more than entheusiastic! Will be a cracking dog. 

Anne and Archie- Archie is a real character, a lovely lurcher x with a wonderful personality. He loves his agility when his he gets it right, can be inclined to worry if it goes a bit wrong!  

Michele and Jenni - Jenni is a stunning brown lab, been attending Southdowns for over a year now and progressing really nicely.

Just been sent some lovely pictures of Jenni - who says labs like water?!!
